Ruinsara Tal Trek is a most beautiful lake in Uttarakhand. It is located at a distance of about 11 km from Kalagarh and has an area of 300 hectares. The beauty of this lake is not only limited to its beauty but also to its history, which dates back to the 16th century AD.The lake was formed due to the movement of water after the damming of river Nandakini at Moradabad by Raja Shambhu Nath, who was a ruler of Garhwal region. 

About the Trek:

Ruinsara Tal Trek is a beautiful lake located in Uttarakhand. It is also known as the ‘Queen of Lakes’ because of its natural beauty, which can be seen from anywhere in the surrounding area. The lake has several islands and waterfalls, which makes it even more attractive to tourists

Ruinsara Tal Trek is a journey that follows the path of the River Yamuna from its origin in the Garhwal Himalayas to its destination in the plains of Uttar Pradesh. This trek is one of the most beautiful lakes in Uttarakhand and offers an opportunity to explore some of the lesser-known places around it.

Ruinsara Tal trek route;

  • Many traveling fans escape to Uttarakashi to set their foot on the adrenaline siphoning Ruinsara Tal journey which is a nature treatment to many bothered spirits. The Ruinsara Tal is a moderate to simple trip that can be finished inside 3-4 days. This 55 kms journey begins from Taluka town and starts with a simple inclination that go on till you hear the murmuring music of streams and gigantic cascades. Stroll under the reasonable blue skies and shelters framed by chestnut, deodar and sycamore trees.

 

  • The trip moves generally towards the Supin Waterway Valley, the upper catchment area of Tons stream.   • Ruinsara Tal – The trip to Ruinsara Tal or Ruinsara Lake starts from Untigaad, a wonderful little campground encompassed by occupied streams. It requires a 2-hour climb to cover the 1.5 km distance from Untigaad to the lake. The climb to the lake wanders through the Govind Natural life Asylum and thick backwoods of Silver Birch.
